hi, i can play files to my tv via context menu on kodi in imac, but cant do it from the remote. Is there a way or can you make this update? Just found emby can do it, but its paid. this is awesome but i just want to choose where the file should play. thanks
Works Great, only the subtitles are Not able to get them off.
It crashes when I enter my MAC address! Useless!
Constantly losing connection...very annoying switched to Sybu. Much more stable.
Just installed app on IPad and works great. You have to press power button on app and box opens up asking ip address etc.. Select Kodi on bottom, enter your user name and password and bingo it works. Love keyboard function for searches, as it is much faster than using remote.
When it works, I like it. But it doesnt work most of the time. Was hoping someone would make a remote that works. Sorry that Kodi cant make a remote. May have to start looking for a kodi replacement.
Works great, dont know how or why people are having problems, configure kodi properly and everything will work fine. Great app kodi team!
It does everything, never had an issues with it . I love how I can create shortcut for app directly on the remote .i have no idea why people are complaining about this wonderful app
Great app. Been using it for years. The only problem is that the most recent release has broken the WOL feature. I have to use another app to start my htpc.
Using iOS10 iPhone 6s and Windows 10 operating system. Using Kodi Jarvis Installed iTunes on computer to make use of "Bonjour" service. Be sure to turn on the following in Kodi. System-Settings-Services-Web server-Allow remote control via HTTP (note your Port#, Username, and Password (if set)) System-Settings-Services-Remote control-Allow remote control by programs on this system System-Settings-Services-Remote control-Allow remote control by programs on other systems System-Settings-Services-Zeroconf-Announce services to other systems Your IP and MAC are here System-System info-Network Yes it would be much easier if there were an auto configuration like in Sybu Oh there is. ("Find Kodi" button) Works great for me nevertheless.
Works great no problems with it could use a gui refresh but other then that solid app good work kodi team
You can control any setting or menu that you see on screen including selecting a menu or provider or changing settings. You can even add your own button/shortcut. As per instruction, you have to set your kodi to allow remote via http and turn on zeroconfig. To connect just enter the kodi IP address or device id and click find kodi. Once you find your kodi, select it and hit save. You can add multiple kodi devices to this remote. Everything you can do on screen you can do in this remote. The only suggestion I have is to have the app auto scan for kodi devices in the network instead of asking for IP address.
This update fixed the issue I had with the Wake on LAN over a powerline. I had to use a different app to do the WOL but now its fixed (not sure about the technicalities behind this but THANKS!). This app is by far the best to remotely control Kodi/XBMC. My HTPC has OpenELEC installed and this works like a charm, I never ever use a keyboard/mouse.
Best app Ive ever used never had a problem with it!
Wakeup On Lan working with Openelec installed on Amd PC. First thing I tried when I saw the changelog. Thank you.
Please, a favorite button in RC. Really needed! Fast access to my favs! Too much taps on arrows etc now.
I use the app to control Kodi on OpenElec. The old laptop running OpenElec has a bad screen and the remote helps me during the setup of the first boot, Excellent App,
Its a really nice, easy to use and well laid out remote. My only complaint is that the add-ons sections is kind of buried, though you can still add your favorites to a custom commands section.
Kodi 16 has been out a while but the "official" app doesnt support the current version.
